Reagan’s Birthday Partea

Our girl is FOUR and I can’t even believe it. Another birthday gone and past, and like I say with every birthday for each of our kids, I honestly just don’t know where the heck the time goes. Four! That’s big girl status. And what comes with big girl status, is your own opinion for birthday parties. With the first three birthdays, I’d say I was able to sway her vote in what kind of birthday party we’d throw (I know I know, it’s her birthday not mine. But you know who decorates and pays for it? Me. Well, and my husband). BUT, this year, I let her take the reigns (for the most part) and pretty much let her decide on the theme, colors, decorations, etc.

So this year, Reagan wanted a tea party/princess/flower party, so that is exactly what she got. We had a “birthday partea”, with lots of tea cups, tea sandwiches, macarons, and tea party hats for all of the little princesses and princes (aka crowns), but most importantly, a real life princess!

Reagan’s dreams came true when one of her favorite princesses showed up to the party. Rapunzel came and had the kids in absolute awe. She greeted the birthday girl with the biggest hug, and did alllll the things with the kids. Literally, everything. She was amazing! They played games, had story time, did makeovers, tattoos and princess training (cutest thing ever), and of course Rapunzel joined in for birthday cake! Reagan felt so special being Rapunzel’s sidekick for the day. 10/10 highly recommend bringing a princess/character to your birthday party. Not only were the kids head over heels in love, the parents could pretty much sit back and relax while the kids were fully entertained for an hour and a half. Win win.

That night when we went to bed, Reagan grabbed my face and pulled me in for a kiss and said “Mommy, that was the BEST. BIRTHDAY PARTY. EVER. Thank you SO much!” And even though I had to wake up from my 10 year high school reunion the night before, tired AF, and hang streamers from trees to my house, make a balloon garland full of 80 balloons and flowers, make 30 tiny perfect circle turkey and cheese sandwiches and much much more…in the end, it was all worth it. Happy birthday sweet girl!
